In a series of publications, the EC/UN Partners call upon development partners to invest in practical actions for promoting gender equality, including support to gender equality advocates’ participation in policy dialogue on national development planning and aid delivery; capacity building of government institutions on gender-responsive programming and budgeting; the use of gender-sensitive development indicators to monitor results of development assistance; the collection and use of data disaggregated by sex, age and urban/rural location; and the establishment of accountability mechanisms to monitor and track investments and results on gender equality.
